Being Bullied? You are NOT Alone

This website is currently under construction.  Due to unforeseen circumstances, the study will begin in the fall of 2012.

The purpose of this website is to conduct qualitative research regarding the experience of public employees being bullied within the workplace and how this impacts the behavior of public employees towards taxpayers. It will ask individuals to share their personal experiences on an anonymous level and look for overarching themes related to the human experience of being bullied.

Phenomenological research uncovers the typical reactions people have towards shared phenomena.  In other words, it is a good way to explore common experiences and common reactions with regard to an experience.  This type of research tends to benefit people by showing that they are not alone in their feelings, actions and reactions to a common experience.

You are not alone!

Links to legal organizations and anti-bullying organizations are being compiled and will be shared.  The aim is to gather insight as insight as to ways that HR managers and others in authority combat or ignore the problem.    Another hope is to learn how the practice of workplace bullying interferes with transparency and accountability that citizens demand from their local government.  We need to uncover how this practice harms the relationship of local government entities and the citizens that financially support these organizations and depend upon honest and transparent government in order for their communities to thrive.

Please check back soon or privately email, use the contact form below or call the author,  Sheilah Thomas Davis, to be notified when the website is completed.  The target date is November 2, 2012.

Take heart, today is the dawn of a new day.

Wishing you the best of life, health, wealth and happiness,

Sheilah
